(ANSA) - ROMA, 9 September - The preliminary estimate, 2 million and a half have participated in the 5 / a edition of the 'White Night' in Rome, Walter Veltroni, the mayor announced. Also thanks to the mild climate and the Italian electricity grid, the event has avoided the rain and the blackout that afflicted past two editions. 'Culture and Recreation, with 400 shows and 1,000 artists - said Veltroni - have not only invaded the center but have also reached the outskirts, without major incident'.
